As the popularity of solar power grows, companies are exploring new ways to install solar panels on rooftops and now, even canopies as Brooklyn SolarWorks newly released project demonstrates.
But as solar power expands, the question of decommissioning these massive panels is becoming more frequent. The good news is much of the paneling and battery units from a used solar project can be sold off as a way of recycling. Taking the panels down is very similar to the installation process and takes only about 3-4 weeks for a full restoration.
With the right technology, solar power could very quickly develop across New York’s rooftops as a renewable energy leader.
