Norris McDonald to receive proclamation for environmental work

Posted: October 30, 2018

Norris McDonald, President of the African American Environmental Association (AAEA) and an advisory board member of New York AREA, will receive a proclamation from the City of New York for his work for environmental justice.

Since 1979, Norris has advocated for clean energy solutions for minority neighborhoods in New York City and is an outspoken critic of dirty peaker plants that affect the health of many New Yorkers. He has also emphasized the importance of Indian Point’s clean-energy benefits to New York City and the downstate region.

We congratulate Norris on the reception of this well-deserved acknowledgment.
