Life in Westchester post-Indian Point comes with a lot of change in a short period of time, including its pending decommissioning by demolition company Holtec. Deb Milone, President of the Hudson Valley Gateway Chamber of Commerce and a New York AREA advisory board member, commented on how the plant’s closure and subsequent decommissioning will impact local small businesses in the community:

“The effect the shutdown will have on the local business community is a concern, but having the decommissioning process done quickly, safely, and efficiently is of paramount importance and will benefit the entire region including the business community. The closer you are to the plant, the more it’s being discussed.”
