The crossfire between National Grid and New York State finally reached an end on Monday after months of pushback.
The utility agreed to lift the moratorium and pay a $36 million fine. New York State will also appoint a monitor paid for by National Grid to oversee its operations for two years, to review its compliance with the pact.
