Yesterday, Continental Building Products announced the planned location for the state’s largest rooftop solar system – across from Indian Point Energy Center in Buchanan.
Continental and Manhattan-based EnterSolar have already begun progress on the 2.4 megawatt solar system, which is estimated to power 500 homes in the region.
“The roof is being re-purposed in a highly sustainable way,” said Peyton Boswell, the managing director of EnterSolar. “It was just sitting there. This is an opportunity to put it to good use, from both an environmental and economic perspective.”
